Welcome to the Merck/Schering-Plough Patient Assistance Program.
Sometimes, affording prescription medicines can be difficult. That’s why at Merck/Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals (MSP), we have created the Patient Assistance Program—to keep affordable medicines within your reach. This private and confidential program provides medicine free of charge for up to 1 year to eligible individuals who do not have prescription drug coverage and who, without our assistance, could not afford needed MSP medicines.
The only medicines available through the MSP Patient Assistance Program are:
If you have been prescribed an MSP medicine, you may be eligible for the program if all 3 of the following conditions apply:
You do not have insurance or other coverage for your prescription medicine.
If you are a Medicare beneficiary, you must not be enrolled in a Medicare Part D prescription plan. You also must have exhausted all other insurance options for coverage. Some examples of other insurance coverage include private insurance, HMOs, Medicaid, Medicare, state pharmacy assistance programs, Veterans’ assistance, or any other social service agency support.You cannot afford to pay for your medicine.
You may qualify for the program if you have a household income of $19,140 or less for individuals, $25,660 or less for a family of 2, or $38,700 or less for a family of 4. If your income is more than these amounts and there are special circumstances that apply to your situation, your doctor can request that an exception be made for you.
If you believe that you meet the guidelines for the Merck/Schering-Plough Patient Assistance Program and you have received a prescription for an MSP medicine, call toll free 1-800-347-7503 8:00 AM–8:00 PM ET, to obtain a brochure outlining the program and an enrollment application. The enrollment application must be completed by both you and your physician.
